Blood Flow
When blood flow is reduced, you lose so much more than nutrients and oxygen
Endothelial Shear Stress triggers endothelial mechanotransduction and autocrine/ paracrine processes, resulting in a wide array of physiological and biochemical actions in the body. These are indispensable for homeostasis, and are not fully understood in clinical settings. The chart, below, shows some of the different results brought about by changes in blood flow.
